FIFA World Cup Scarf design inspiration for Austria
After a 28-year absence from the tournament, Austria took part in the 2026 Soccer World Cup.
Geometric forms and layered textures nodded to Austrian artists Gustav Klimt, Josef Hoffmann, Koloman Moser and Otto Wagner’s famous designs. Bold and decorative, geometry has become an iconic visual language in Austria. Applying this style of design to Austria’s World Cup Scarf blended their cultural depth with their passion for soccer – one of the most popular sports in Austria.
Red and white colors dominated the scarf to reflect the colors found in the national flag. Held aloft in stadiums and recognizable from afar it was one of our favorite designs from the World Cup collection.
